Yes. Employer support is required to participate, as you will be travelling for up to 12 months. This support ensures your employer is aware of your planned extended absence and can accommodate your leave arrangements accordingly. Applicants are encouraged to discuss their plans with their employer early in the process to confirm approval and ensure appropriate workforce planning can be undertaken.
Awardees are required to complete a comprehensive final report detailing their experiences, outcomes, and how these will be applied to benefit Queenslanders and the broader sector upon return. In addition, reporting is required at key stages of the scholarship, including: An initial report A mobilisation report prior to departure An employment report during the program (where applicable) These reports help ensure accountability and support the sharing of knowledge and outcomes across the sector.
Yes. Applicants may apply more than once, however, priority may be given to first-time applicants or those who have not previously received a QOF scholarship or bursary.
If you have previously applied or been unsuccessful, you are encouraged to reapply where you can demonstrate further development, strengthened experience, or a clearer alignment with the program objectives.
Applicants who have previously received a QOF scholarship or bursary may still be eligible to apply again, however, this will be considered on a case-by-case basis and subject to program guidelines at the time of application.
